THE starter-kit
tools and adhesive mortar

You start in mosaic and you wonder which tools to acquire?

Here is my selection adapted to the techniques that I teach in the workshop and on the online courses.

kit mosaico1.jpg

This complete kit to start working with smalti and martelline marble is very complete:

It contains a 750 g martelline with double tungsten carbide tip with its wooden handle, a straight tweezers with fine points, a painter's spatula, a steel slicer to be fixed on the wooden block , a bag of gray adhesive mortar of 5kg, a bag of adhesive-white mortar of 5 kg and a container of latex of 5 kg.

Highly recommended kit with its slicer to be installed on a wooden block (installation video online soon in the online mosaic course for beginners). It allows all types of materials and different thicknesses to be worked while remaining very stable.

This complete kit to start working with smalti and martelline marble is very complete:

It contains a 750 g martelline with double tungsten carbide tip with its wooden handle, a straight tweezers with fine points, a painter's spatula, a steel slicer on a small metal base to put on , a bag of gray adhesive mortar of 5kg, a bag of adhesive-white mortar of 5 kg and a container of latex of 5 kg.

Kit with slicer on a metal base, recommended only if you cannot afford or accommodate a log. Also useful if you have to travel often with your equipment. Be careful, however, choose a stable and robust support to put it down, pay attention to the final height of your cutting device (generally 70/75 cm from the base of the slicer to the ground if you work seated).
